Court Day!

Court was successful today!!!! A little recap: Sergey dropped us off at 9:45 a.m. and then went picked up the rest of the crew that joined us in the courtroom. We got started on the hearing and the judge began to call out all members present and oops found out there was one juror missing....So, he called a recess until the juror showed up and we got started back again. All in all everything went well and we were done by 12:30 with a final decision that the court of Ukraine approves Jason & Melanie Hall to adopt these children and announced them with their new name:
Alexander Vitali Hall & Anna Christina Hall
We may begin to call him Alex eventually, but right now he goes by the name Vitali and it has kind of stuck with us too-
pronounced Vi(short i)-tah-lee.
And the little girl's name is Anna.
We were able to take Anna to Vitali's orphanage today and they got to meet. It was a real sweet time. She did get a little dissappointed that he didnt warm up to her right away, but we explained to her that the more time that she gets to spend with him, the more he will warm up and also that they woke him up from his nap to bring him out to us today and he was still really sleepy. Once he woke up a little, we played and even danced a little to some music we brought. We have some fun pictures of this. When it was time to go, he did give her and all of us a sweet hug and kiss goodbye as we left. We took Anna back to her orphanage and gave her a picture album of all of us and our home in Prattville, the calendar of dates to check off until we will be back, and a portable CD player with a Ukranian/English words CD and believe it or not, a Steven Curtis Chapman CD...she loves this CD, so we left it with her. Now, we are back in Kiev, so that we can take care of paperwork at the American Embassy here tomorrow morning. It is getting late, so I will have to finish my post for tonight, but will post pics of the kids tomorrow! Thank you for all your prayers! God is so good and so faithful!!!

OK, I'm in tears. Happy ones! Anna thought it was just fabulous that Grant's sister is named Anna too. Then she asked when Grant was going to bring them over to meet her and Emma. James being James thought that a month to wait was just ridiculous. I told him that y'all probably thought so too, but that it's just what you have to do. I saw a verse in the Frazer bookstore the other day and thought of you. It is Isaiah 40:31..."Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint." Y'all are so faithful and are going to be so blessed. You are such a great example to everyone about trusting in Him. You are amazing! Can't wait to see you all soon! Much, much love. Lisa
