Made it to the Zhytomyr

Hi all~ Just a quick post for now letting you know that we did arrive safely to the Zhytomyr region and that we had a good visit at the orphanage. I will hopefully be able to share more by tonight (Your daytime on Tues :) We are in a small town in this region and found a hotel that was available for 2 nights and it is very comfy. On Wed someone rented out the entire hotel for awhile, so we will be moving again soon :) Thanks for your prayers! Mel

I made it back home with no problems :)

Thanks again for letting me be a part of your adoption!

Grant - make sure you read the signs in the bathrooms BUT remember it's okay to flush everything every once in a while ;)

Just a side note. Jody's sister Kindal got married Saturday. Little Matt was the ring bearer. He walked all the way down the aisle, then when he got to the altar he gave John Ed a thumbs up.
He made it through the ceremony with out too much wiggling, swaying, and pillow waving. Of course, how much is too much is relative. He did manage to shoot Papaw an I love you sign and an OK sign from his designated spot on the platform...(a little thing we have going on together). Big Matt keeps R2 going regularly which keeps me loaded down. Hope you've had a good day. Looking for more good news. Love to all. Dad

I am so glad that you made it alright. Been thinking about you guys a lot...It's hard to be so far from home for such a long time, but it's worth it :) I am praying for your health especially...and for your new child, of course. :)
Love,
Stephanie

Dear Diary, uh, I mean, Melanie:

You know that feeling of anticipation while a mother is in labor? Not knowing how much longer or what the child will look like...that's what it feels like...In a sense life is about to come forth...a child's life will receive love and acceptance that hasn't been there before...sorry so mushy, this whole experience has really touched my heart...

Bryan and I don't have a "yes" about pursuing anything further at this time...we've been going through a lot since you left...his patient load has dropped tremendously and it has caused me great concern. But in the midst of it all I hear the Father telling me to trust Him...which is so hard for me...this scripture has been on my mind...

Proverbs 30:8-9

8 Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.

9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you
and say, 'Who is the LORD ?'
Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God.

Praying without cessing,
Christy AKA "Crispy" (Thanks to Grant!)

Melanie, Jason and Mr. Boo (ahem, Grant),
Steven and I are avidly following how things are going for you all - what a blessing to be in country on this crazy path at the same time! I'm leaving tomorrow on the night train back to region, and praying things go well with our passport phase. Here's to a summer reunion in Alabama! Hugs from Kyiv,
Miss Boo (a/k/a Leslie)
p.s. those little coconut cookies are addictive!

I'm excited about the visit to the orphanage. This faith walk can sometimes be difficult, and timely for us humans...lol But the proof is in the pudding so to speak. Committed hearts of endurance, patience, etc....1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, through it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.

I believe Susan wrote something of Abraham on one of her post about finding a wife for his son Issac That event was to be a new beginning of Abraham's inheritance, given by God for creating of children for the Kingdom of God, and for his Glory.. Children are our inheritance, they all belong to him. I feel like this journey to find your inheritance that the Lord is desiring will bring much glory for so many. Thank you Jesus for what you are doing not in just my family, but all the other families that are in search of their divine inheritance in the Ukraine.

Please tell Grant I called his name out to Max and he wags his tail...pulls up his little face and looks at me as to where he is at??? To my surprise I was on the throne (if you know what I mean) when I tried mentioning Grant's name, and Max took advantage and jumped in my lap. I'm still trying to teach him manners...lol Right now as I'm writing he thinks I'm you Melanie, under my feet at computer. He loves to go to work with me!!!! I love you all. GiGi
